frequently asked questions

Can I get a free estimate?

We provide free estimates for specific requests of trimming and removals on your property. This is a brief drop-in visit, where our Arborist will review the requested work, then send you a quote. Depending on the time of year, receiving an estimate can take a few days, and up to two weeks.

do you sell woodchips?

We offer bulk wood chip delivery by the truckload - 10 or 20 yard quantities - call for pricing.

Monroe residents have access to a community woodchip pile located at

the city's North Pit (On 18th Avenue, North of 4th St and South of Mansion Dr.)

do you grind stumps?

We do offer stump grinding for the trees we have removed. We typically do not grind stumps of trees we did not remove.

Are you certified & insured?

Yes - our business, equipment, and employees are all insured. We have two ISA certified Arborists on staff, so there is an Arborist on site.

What is your service area?

We service Green County and the surrounding counties in Wisconsin. We do not typically cross the state line to work in Illinois.

Will you work with my insurance company?

We work for you directly. We document our services with estimates and invoices, so you have all the documentation necessary if looking to be reimbursed by your insurance company.

Why is my Evergreen dropping its needles?

A common issue in our area is a fungal condition known as Rhizosphaera Needle Cast. UW Madison is a great resource for more information.

Can you help me manage spongy moth?

Before involving an Arborist, there are many tools a homeowner can use to prevent and reduce Spongy Moth on their property. Refer to UW Spongy Moth Resources to begin your research.

Do you provide tree health care treatments?

As of 2019, we no longer provide this service. If you are seeking this treatment, we recommend contacting Havens Tree Care.
